Well 1st let me explain what AABBC stand for -
A – Anubias
A – Amazon swords
B – Buce
B – Bolbitis
C – Cryptocoryne
J - Java fern types
When I think of -
EASY
HARDY – Handling mistakes
BEGINNER
NO CO2 – although it will enhance your plants growth significantly, it is not essential.
NO AQUASOIL – although it will enhance your plants growth significantly, it is not essential.
NO EXPENSIVE LIGHTING
Then these 6 plant species is on top of my list!
As an aquatic hobbyists with over 30 years of experience, I grew up with Anubias, Amazon swords, Bolbitis, Crypt’s and Java ferns (Buce came much later) and although they were difficult to find, these plants thrived in our aquariums without today’s technology. Making them very easy in todays world.
With today’s basic plant food and basic aquarium lighting EVERYONE CAN KEEP THEM ALIVE AND THRIVING!
Don’t hesitate to invest a little more in these plants, because if you follow the basic instructions on how to keep them, you will be rewarded over and over, again & AGAIN!!!
